Alan James Biography

Alan James Hutchinson is an accomplished artist, and photographer as well as an accomplished musician. Having the good fortune to grow up in the rare beauty of the majestic New England country side. Alan’s appreciation for the arts was inescapable.

His love for painting was instrumental in his introduction to the world of photography. By using a camera to amass subject matter for his paintings, it became apparent, that it wouldn't be long in coming for his love affair with photography to take a foothold. So the two, now symbiotic, are also hopelessly inseparable.

Throughout his career, Alan’s work has been on display in many galleries and private collections throughout the U.S. and abroad. During his lifetime, Alan has won numerous awards and has captured the hearts of even the most severe of critics.

“May I forever see the world with the wonderment of an infant's eyes” It is this state of mind that has allowed Alan to capture the world in its innocence and beauty.

Alan now resides in northern Arizona where he continues his work, surrounded by the wondrous and breathtaking landscapes that mother nature seems to have carved out, tailor made, with the artist in mind.
